Twinkling Star

from Hawaii

1. Do Opening A.

2. Thumbs move into index-finger loops from below and pick up near little-finger strings.

3. Little fingers move into index-finger loops from above and pick up far thumb strings.

4. Release thumbs.

5. Thumbs move over index-finger loops and pick up both near little-finger strings.

6. Index fingers move into their loops over the palm strings.

7. Release little fingers, and the palm strings are hooked on the bent index fingers. Index-finger loops drop naturally.

(This pattern, which is similar to Seven Diamonds, is known as "Night".)

8. Release the right thumb softly. Right middle, ring and little fingers move into right index-finger loops from above and hold them.
Release the right index finger and insert it into the loops from above.

9. Release the left index finger softly. Left index, middle, ring and little fingers move into thumb loops from below and hold them.

10. Unbend index fingers to extend the pattern. You can open and close the central diamond using movements of index fingers.
