Storm Clouds
From Index Opening to One Storm Cloud
1. Do Murray Opening (= Index Opening).
2. The left thumb picks up the upper far index-finger string
and the right thumb picks up the lower far index-finger string
through between the upper and lower near index-finger strings.
3. Left middle, ring and little (MRL) fingers move into the lower left index-finger loop from below
and right MRL fingers move into the upper right index-finger loop from below.
They hook down the upper near index-finger string.
4. Middle fingers hook down lower near index-finger strings. During this operation, release ring and little fingers.
5. Ring and little fingers move into middle-finger loops and share them. Release thumbs.
One Storm Cloud
From One to Two
6. Thumbs move into the loops held by MRL fingers from the near-side
and pull out the second upper strings by hooking down them.
7. Release MRL fingers and pass them into thumb loops from the far-side. Release thumbs.
8. Middle fingers pass the front of both lower index-finger strings and hook down upper far index-finger strings.
9. Release ring and little fingers. Insert them into middle-finger loops.
10. Find the "correct" strings and pick up them with index fingers.
Two Storm Clouds
Repeat Steps 6-10, and the number of storm clouds increases, while a long loop is required.
Three Storm Clouds
Four Storm Clouds
Five Storm Clouds
Six Storm Clouds
Eight Storm Clouds
Ten Storm Clouds
Notes:
(a) At the ending, you can adjust the tension of the highest string by wrapping it around index-fingers.
(b) At Step 8, index-fingers may release the upper far strings.
